Does the Business Interruption, Infectious Disease extension respond to Coronavirus?
The Business Interruption extension for Infectious Diseases provides coverage for losses arising from specific notifiable infectious diseases that are covered by the policy. Coronavirus is not included within the list of insured diseases. This means that losses arising from Coronavirus are not covered by this extension.
Travelers does not provide first party coverage for losses arising from Coronavirus.

Does the Property Damage Section respond to coronavirus?
The property damage section of the policy does not respond to loss, destruction or damage to covered property by Coronavirus.

Do the Employers’ Liability & Public / Products Liability covers respond to Coronavirus?
The Employers’ Liability and Public and Products Liability standard wordings will provide cover for an Insured Person’s legal liability for injury arising out of the Insured’s actions or failures to act where a duty of care is owed. Our wordings are silent with regard to Coronavirus and could therefore respond if a legal liability is established, within the terms, conditions and exceptions of the policy.

Why is Travelers declining to add Infectious disease extensions?
We feel that, as these extensions do not provide cover arising from the current Coronavirus outbreak, it would be inappropriate to charge for this extension. We always aim to treat our customers fairly.
